Heya!
It’sa me, Atikah Daman—a millennial mama to two lovely (and occasionally chaotic) kids and a multidisciplinary designer with over 12 years of experience in the creative industry. Yes—over a decade! There are few creative requests or challenges I haven’t tackled during my time in this field. Here’s my heroine backstory:
I specialize in digital design and video editing, with expertise spanning social media content, print, digital imaging, motion graphics animation, and more. My work revolves around one core mission: delivering meaningful messages through thoughtful design, research, and imagination. I love diving deep into a subject to uncover motifs and symbols that elevate my craft. As an organized and analytical left-brain designer, I believe every detail matters.
As a loyal team player (ahem), I stuck with my first job through thick and thin (literally). I leveled up from a junior motion graphics designer to a kickass broadcast editor and eventually earned the title of Creative Lead. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of conceptualizing and creating artwork and videos for brands like the Health Promotion Board, the People's Association, CNA, Suria, Kedai Sujimy, and many more.
After welcoming my firstborn, I decided to slow down and focus on being a mama. Thankfully, I found a role that aligned perfectly with my needs at the time. Working with Sassy Mama Singapore, I gained plenty of mama-hood tips and tricks while churning out social posts and infographics, branding a podcast, assisting in webinars, designing downloadable editorial assets, and ensuring cohesive design output across the website. I collaborated with colleagues from Hong Kong and worked with brands like Amazon, SuperPark Singapore, Del Monte, Betty Crocker, Stasher, and many others.
Today, I work with BitsMedia Pte Ltd, a tech company that develops the pioneering Muslim lifestyle app with more than 170 million downloads globally – isn't that impressive?! Here, I designed thumbnails for one of the app's VOD features named 'Qalbox', think Netflix, but for Muslims. I also assisted in creating visuals for its original production, livestreams, app illustrations, marketing assets, merch and event designs, social posts and so. much. more.
That’s me in my creative element. When I’m not designing, solving creative problems, or juggling mom duties, you’ll find me sketching on my iPad or savoring a latte during those rare, precious windows of free time. :)
