Overview
Designing for an app with millions of users means finding the balance between beauty and function. I worked with the Product Team to enhance two key areas of the Muslim Pro app: the Community feature ("Ummah") and the Quran "Learn" section.
Interaction Design (The "Ummah" Community Feature)
The Goal: Launch a new social space within the app where users can connect.
My Role: I designed and animated the empty states and onboarding micro-interactions.
The Approach: The animation needed to feel welcoming but lightweight. I used smooth, looping motion to encourage users to post their first thought, turning a static "empty screen" into an invitation to engage.
Visual Systems (The "Learn" Page)
The Goal: Create a consistent visual language for the Quran learning page
My Role: Enhance the visual experience for the Quran 'Learn' page.
The Approach: Ensuring consistency with the app’s brand identity, look, and feel, I centred on creating visuals that reflect the meaning of each surah, incorporating motifs such as landscapes, mountainous views, and animals to symbolise the stories within the Quran. These illustrations were thoughtfully crafted to enhance user engagement and provide a deeper connection to the teachings of each surah.
